Aryna Sabalenka recently shared that she is immersing herself and learning about her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis’ culture. Sabalenka confirmed her relationship with Frangulis last month, at the 2024 ecotrans Ladies Open in Berlin.
Recently, Aryna Sabalenka took to social media and asked her fans to send in questions for her to answer. When asked about her knowledge of Brazilian and Greek culture, hinting at her relationship with her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, the CEO and founder of Oakberry Açaí Bowls, Sabalenka revealed that she was learning Portuguese and was “lucky” enough to visit Greece with Frangulis.
“I am learning Portuguese and was lucky enough to travel to Greece! So i Guess you could say I’m doing both… 😂 ,” Sabalenka answered one fan.
Another fan inquired about her favorite Netflix shows, to which Sabalenka shared that she is currently watching “Maestro in Blue,” a Greek drama series, and also enjoys tuning into “The Office.”
“Maestro in Blue 🙈 The Office 😂 ,” she answered.

Sabalenka is having a good 2024 season. She kicked off the year by winning the Australian Open title, and had a finals run at the Brisbane International, where she lost to Elena Rybakina. She had runner-up finishes at the Madrid Open and the Italian Open, where she lost to Iga Swiatek in both the summit clashes.
The World No.3 also made it to the quarterfinals at the 2024 French Open. Along the way, she defeated the likes of Erika Andreeva, Moyuka Uchijima, Paula Badosa, and Emma Navarro before falling to Mirra Andreeva in the last eight.In order to prepare for the recently concluded 2024 Wimbledon Championships, Aryna Sabalenka participated in the 2024 ecotrans Ladies Open in Berlin. However, she had to withdraw from the tournament during her quarterfinal match against eventual runner-up Anna Kalinskaya due to a shoulder injury. This injury subsequently led her to withdraw from the grasscourt Major as well.

Sabalenka has also opted out of competing at the upcoming 2024 Paris Olympics. She cited that she needed to prioritize taking care of herself and prepare for the hard-court summer season.

Last month, during a press conference, Aryna Sabalenka announced that she would not be participating in the 2024 Paris Olympics. She cited the demanding schedules as a primary reason for her withdrawal and that she wanted to prioritize her health.
“Especially with all the struggles I’ve been struggling with the last months, I feel I have to take care of my health. It’s too much for the scheduling and I made the decision to take care of my health,” Sabalenka said.
The former World No.1 expressed that she needed to rest in order to maintain her health for the upcoming hard court season.
“I prefer to have a little rest to make sure physically and health-wise I’m ready for the hard courts and I’ll have a good preparation before going to the hard court season. I feel that this is safer and better for my body,” she added .
In 2021, at the Tokyo Olympics, Aryna Sabalenka was the third seed. She had defeated Poland’s Magda Linette 6-2, 6-1 in the first round but fell to Croatia’s Donna Vekic 4-6, 6-3, 6-7(3) in the second.
