However, this tournament will also mark the end of a remarkable journey that started almost 34 years ago! We have already witnessed Andy Murray‘s emotional farewell at Wimbledon earlier this month. His mother Judy, his wife Kim, and several other family members were present at the iconic venue to witness the end of a legacy he built one step at a time. Recalling some of his fewest fond memories from this year’s Wimbledon, the two-time Wimbledon Champion said, “I think my mum actually finds it quite stressful! And Kim. I don’t think I’m that easy to watch all the time.“ Murray further went on to add, “No, really it’s great having them supporting and I’m so grateful that they’ve spent so much time watching me over the years. Just knowing they are in the crowd gives me a huge boost.” He became a bit emotional by recalling the moments of them clapping for him from the stands at Wimbledon.
Andy Murray truly deserves a grand farewell for all his contributions to the world of sports. He has won three Grand Slam titles in his career and he’s also one of the few athletes to grab two consecutive gold medals in the Olympics. Murray is the exact reason why the ‘Big Three‘ in the tennis world turned into the ‘Big Four‘ later on. That’s called creating a legacy!

The British tennis star didn’t have the ending he’d have liked at the Wimbledon, as he didn’t feature in the singles and mixed doubles event. However, he played the doubles event with his brother Jamie Murray, but was defeated in the first round itself. Can he come up with some better results in front of his pillars of support in Paris? Time will tell, but irrespective of the outcome of his last few matches, his contribution to the tennis world is going to be cherished forever. However, his journey would’ve remained incomplete long ago, but for these people.
Andy Murray dedicates a few lines to his support system at Wimbledon
With sunset looming in the sky, let’s go back to those days when he witnessed this beautiful sunrise for the very first time. Andy Murray’s mother Judy Murray used to take him to local courts from a very young age. She stood beside him through every thick and thin in his career. Murray recently spoke about the support he got from his family during his farewell speech at Wimbledon. He said, “Mum and dad have been amazing support, still today, but when we were little and allowing us to go and pursue our dreams.“

He began dating Kim Sears, daughter of player turned coach, Nigel Sears back in 2005. They got married on 11 April 2015 and now they have a beautiful family comprising one son and three daughters. Murray said, “She’s (Kim) been an amazing, amazing support to me and to my whole family and is the best mum.” Do you think more joy awaits for the Murray family in Paris?
