This nearly six-hour difference is due to Alcaraz’s participation in the doubles competition, where he played three rounds and accumulated 352 minutes.
Without his doubles participation with Rafael Nadal—where they were eliminated by the American duo Rajeev Ram and Austin Krajicek in the quarterfinals—the Roland Garros and Wimbledon champion would have spent less time on court than Djokovic in the five matches needed from the first round to the final.
Alcaraz spent 467 minutes on court to defeat Lebanese Hady Habib (72), Dutch Tallon Griekspoor (108), Russian Roman Safiullin (90), American Tommy Paul (121), and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime (76).
Djokovic required a total of 487 minutes to advance through matches against Australian Matthew Ebden (54), Rafael Nadal (104), German Dominik Koepfer (97), Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas (122), and Italian Lorenzo Musetti (110).
In doubles, Carlos Alcaraz and Rafael Nadal were on court for 352 minutes across the three matches they played, against Argentines Máximo González and Andrés Molteni (109), Dutch Tallon Griekspoor and Wesley Koolhof (144), and Americans Austin Krajicek and Rajeev Ram, with whom they lost after 99 minutes of play.
