French Olympic Pole Vault Jumper Anthony Ammirati suffered an unfortunate accident when he was competing for glory in Paris 2024. His private parts were responsible for him not being able to get through in one of his jumps, rendering unable to keep competing due to this unexpected “obstacle”. He recently came out to talk about the entire situation and explain what went wrong. The internet has been ruthless against him and his social media accounts have been flooded with new fans who are constantly praising his “attributes”. But out of all the jokes about it, there is one that got a little out of hand from Australian tennis legend Rennae Stubbs, who was also Serena Williams’ coach for years.

Given that we are currently undergoing an extreme political and ideological climate, Stubbs’ comments can be regarded as somewhat extreme due to the joke she tried to make. On a post where she placed the video on her social media accounts, Stubbs placed the following caption, ‘When your pole is too big for the Pole Vault’. She also writes: “Seriously!!! When your sport is all about getting your body over a bar and it’s a matter of millimeters! My man! Call a drag queen! She’ll teach u how to tuck it! This is unbelievable!”

This joke from Stubbs was neturally taken lightly by those who like hearing that type of rhethoric but it was completely rejected by those who are more sensitive to this discrimination issue. In the midst of these reactions, Ammirati himself just came out with a statement on social media, writing: “I was 100 percent physically, but I was missing a bit of pole vault. The conditions were good. It’s the first time I’ve started a competition without any stress. As I was a total outsider, I only had one goal: to interact with the audience. I was almost there.”
