Serena Williams’ husband Alexis Ohanian said he was ”sick of” alleged racist comments being received by athletes. Ohanian added he would “build something” for athletes after Team USA’s gymnast Jordan Chiles faced alleged racist comments recently after controversy ensued over her bronze medal finish at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

On Monday, August 5, in the floor exercise final at the Olympics, Chiles finished fifth initially. However, her team filed an inquiry about one of her skills and the judges subsequently increased her score from 13.666 to 13.766, which moved her up from fifth place to third.Consequently, initial bronze medalist Ana Barbosu of Romania finished in fourth spot. Chiles was later on the receiving end of alleged racist comments which prompted her mother Gina to come to her defense.

“The racist disgusting comments are still happening in 2024. I’m tired of people who say it no longer exists. My daughter is a highly decorated Olympian with the biggest heart and a level of sportsmanship that is unmatched…and she’s being called disgusting things,” Gina wrote on X.
