Fans are buzzing over Serena Williams after the tennis legend shared a video of her stunning new look online.
In a recent Instagram post, Williams jumped on the “demure” trend, sharing a video that quickly garnered attention. Posted on September 2, 2024, the 42-year-old former tennis star appeared in a wet-and-wavy wig, a white robe, and flawless makeup, while a rave remix of Jools Lebron’s viral commentary on being “very demure” and “very mindful” played in the background.
Her followers flooded the comments section, showering her with praise. Many admired her look, particularly her makeup.

“Whoever did your makeup is a keeper! Just flawless,” one fan wrote. Another follower commented, “Yesss!!! Giving the people what we want!”
However, as with any viral post, not all feedback was positive. Some commenters speculated about possible plastic surgery, questioning her appearance.
“Is that a plastic surgery room she’s in?” one person asked. Another critic chimed in, “Her face has changed so much. I’m sorry, I don’t find her attractive anymore.”
“I’m just gonna unfollow. I can’t get used to the new face,” another follower remarked.
Unfazed by the negativity, Williams’ loyal fans leaped to her defense, with responses like, “Bye,” and, “No need to announce your departure.”
Another supporter added, “What new face? All I see is Serena freshened up. If you’re leaving, just go. No need to make an announcement, bye.”
Despite her fans’ efforts, the criticism continued, with one user writing, “She definitely had some work done. But, putting that aside, the makeup and look are [fire emojis].”

Amid the plastic surgery rumors, the mother of two has remained silent. Instead, Williams has focused on getting back in shape after giving birth to her daughter Adira a year ago. She’s been hitting the gym hard and incorporating radio-frequency skin tightening into her routine.
Her efforts have clearly paid off, as she recently turned heads at the U.S. Open in a mini denim skirt and jacket that showcased her toned figure.
