Emma Raducanu , who is recovering from wrist surgery, was seen holding the hand of an elderly woman as she stepped off a bus onto the pavement in the pouring rain, The Sun reports. The woman, who received help from the 2021 US Open Grand Slam champion, would have struggled to get off the bus safely on her own.
Raducanu showed sensitivity and a good heart, because she could just as well have pretended not to see that the elderly person had problems. Her mother was also with the tennis player.
As described by “The Sun”, the elderly lady was very happy that she had found help. With a smile on her face, she talked with Raducanu and her mother, although she probably did not realize that she was talking to one of the most famous tennis players in the world.
The 20-year-old Briton has been having serious health problems recently. She had to miss two Grand Slam tournaments – Roland Garros and Wimbledon – due to wrist surgery.
Her popularity has increased dramatically after her triumph at the US Open in 2021, when she was a sensational winner. Although the last few months have been a series of misfortunes, her mood can be improved by good deeds.
