Three years after being deported, Novak Djokovic admits he still feels stressed when traveling to Australia.
The ATP World No. 33, , at 27 years old, has lashed out at Rafa Nadal and Andy Murray, suggesting that both players should have retired from tennis sooner, as they are no longer capable of competing at the highest level.
“It was a complete circus; I can’t describe it any other way. They were two players admired in the locker room, and now one is bald and the other is old,” Bublik stated in an interview with the Russian media outlet ‘Match TV’.
Furthermore, Bublik continued his critique of Nadal and his current level of tennis: “It’s clear that my legacy will be smaller than Rafa’s, but he is no longer what he was and will never be again.”
Not stopping there, Bublik also criticized the professional relationship between Djokovic and Murray: “It’s an attempt to prolong something that is no longer there, just echoes of the past. I think it’s a problem, and I hope I won’t find myself in the same situation when my retirement day comes. Maybe at 36, I’ll go to the Challenger in Bangkok, but I still hope to leave with a clear conscience.”
