Raducanu was recently in action at the Billie Jean King Cup Finals in Malaga, playing a crucial role in leading Great Britain to the semifinals of the prestigious event. Although the 22-year-old claimed a 6-4, 6-4 win over Victoria Hruncakova, Slovakia triumphed in the remaining singles and doubles fixtures to knock out Great Britain and advance to the final, where they lost to Italy.
Putting the disappointment behind her, Emma Raducanu has shifted her focus to her preparations for the 2025 season. The Brit recently took to social media and shared glimpses of her intense training sessions.
“On loop🐝🖤🌚🔁,” Raducanu captioned her post.
Raducanu’s post caught the attention of Francesca Jones, who teased the 22-year-old about her cryptic use of emojis and joked about how difficult they were to decipher.
“Deciphering your emoji captions is almost the equivalent of reading Dan brown’s da Vinci code,” Jones commented.
The lighthearted banter continued as Jones humorously quipped about her compatriot’s “judgemental tone.”
“Did u just tag yourself,” Raducanu wrote.

Emma Raducanu finally took pity on the 24-year-old and explained the symbolism behind her emojis, much to Jones’ relief.
“Busy bee, all black, dark outside way too early on repeat,” she commented.
“Thx I can sleep tonight now,” Jones replied.

Emma Raducanu is entering her off-season training with a confidence boost after her strong showing at the 2024 Billie Jean King Cup Finals. Speaking in a press conference after Great Britain’s exit, the 22-year-old expressed contentment with her contributions to the team, especially after returning to the court following injury struggles.
“Yeah, I think I had some good performances on the court this week. I played three matches, which is great for me. I haven’t played in a while, so I think being able to score a point and get on the board was helpful,” Raducanu said.
Raducanu also highlighted the “positives” from her campaign, taking satisfaction in how well her body held up physically and her sharp performance against Victoria Hruncakova.
“I think the positives to take are physically I held up pretty well. It didn’t take me too long to kind of step back into that match sharpness. I think I was pretty sharp out there,” she added.
Emma Raducanu has recently received a nomination for the WTA Comeback Player of the Year award, facing tough competition for the honor from her fellow nominees Naomi Osaka, Paula Badosa, Karolina Muchova, and Amanda Anisimova.
