“I am pleased to announce that my tennis career has come to an end. I am so grateful for all the support you have shown me over the years. There have been many rumors about my future plans, so I can’t wait to share more with you. I am happy to share my life with you. Let’s continue this journey together,” she wrote on Instagram.

The media reported that the Italian ended her career suddenly because she had more and more problems. She allegedly did not pay taxes and did not pay the rent on the rented villa. According to the media, antique furniture was also supposed to have disappeared, and Giorgi was also responsible for it.
Interestingly, she played her last two matches against Poles. First, in Miami, she defeated Magdalena Fręch, but in the next round she lost to Iga Świątek (1:6, 1:6). For many weeks, it was not known what was happening with Giorgi. There was speculation that the 32-year-old would end her career, and that is exactly what happened.
Her Instagram profile contains nearly 200 photos, most of which are not from her former job, i.e. the tennis court, but from various sessions. Giorgi likes to pose in lingerie or a bikini and collects a lot of positive comments under her photos.
Her signature look on the courts was the outfits that were conceived and designed by her mother Claudia Fullone, owner of the family Florentine fashion house since 2000. In April 2021, Giorgi announced on social media the birth of a women’s clothing and accessories brand designed by her mother, “Giomila”, of which she became an ambassador and model.
She approached tennis in a slightly different way than other players. She once admitted that she didn’t follow what was happening in tennis at all. She had to explain herself. “What I meant was that after a tournament I move on to other topics. Another trophy won’t change my life, tennis is work and of course winning gives me pleasure, but the meaning of life is different,” she admitted.
