Serena Williams recently shared her joy over receiving a customized Gucci bag. She also hilariously warned her sister Venus against stealing it.
Williams and her sister Venus attended Gucci’s Spring/Summer 2025 men’s ready-to-wear show in Milan earlier this year.The American was ecstatic as she received a custom Gucci bag and shared her reaction on social media. She also hilariously set out a warning to her sister Venus against stealing her new handbag.
“So I just got this fresh from the mail, absolutely love this. Thank you so much for sending this, you are amazing. Oh [shouts] wait a minute, this has my name in it. Oh my goodness. That’s so cool Oh my goodness I love it. Venus, you can’t steal it,” Serena said while showing off the bag.
The 23-time Grand Slam champion also thanked the Italian luxury brand for sending her the bag.
“@Venuswilliams stay away. @Gucci you are so good to me,” she captioned the post.

Serena Williams talked about drawing inspiration from tennis and her life as a tennis player to create a makeup brand, WYN Beauty, in an interview with Byrdie magazine.
The American said she had very little time to get ready for the press duties after playing and hence had to figure out how she wanted to show up.
“Those moments are the foundation of the brand. After playing on center court in front of millions of people, I’d have to do press. There was a point where I was talking to the press every single day. I had to figure out how I wanted to show up, but I only had a few minutes after a match to do my makeup,” Williams said.

Williams also pointed out the difference between tennis and other sports, such as gymnastics, stating that gymnasts could wear makeup while performing but tennis players could not. The American added that she experimented with beads to express herself, before delving into eyeliner and lipstick.
“Tennis is different than other sports. Sprinters and gymnasts, for example, can wear a full face of makeup. With tennis, you can play for three hours and have sweat pouring down your face. So I had to find little ways to enhance my features. It started with the beads—that was a way to express myself. From there, I leaned into eyeliner and lipstick,” she said.
Serena Williams has devoted her time to her venture capital firm, Serena Ventures, and her makeup brand WYN Beauty after she hung up her racquet in 2022.
