Serena Williams expressed her excitement over Marvel’s new surprise at the San Diego Comic-Con. For the unversed, MCU President Kevin Feige announced the cast of Avengers: Doomsday. He also revealed that the Russo brothers duo will once again unite to make two more sequels, Doomsday and Secret Weapons. Anthony Russo, one of the brothers talked about the character of Dr. Doom and revealed that they needed one of the greatest actors to play the role and who better than Robert Downey Jr.?! This news has not just elated the Marvel fans, but also the tennis legend herself.

The 42-year-old took to her Instagram story to share her joy. Williams shared a video of the face reveal where Robert Downey Jr. can be seen donning the attire of Dr. Doom. “This made me so overwhelmed with joy,” she captioned the story. But her happiness seemed to be on cloud nine as she made a remarkable wish in another story. Sharing RDJ’s picture from the event, Williams wrote, “@marvel can I be doomette? I’ll happily keep my mask on. No one needs to know lol hahah (villain laugh😈)” Doomette, or Doomer girl is usually a female Wojak and supervillain character with black hair and dark eyes. The 59-year-old actor will play the role of Dr. Doom in the latest Marvel release. The character is one of the most villainous in Marvel history, the longtime adversary of the Fantastic Four and boasting mastery over both magic and science. And while RDJ is known for playing the role of Iron Man, his new character has left the fans delighted! But, the directors are certain of his talents.

“If we’re going to bring Doctor Doom to the screen — he is one of the most complex characters, most entertaining characters in all of fiction. If we’re going to do this … then we are going to need the greatest actor in the world,” said Anthony Russo. Coming back to Serena Williams, her association with Robert Downey Jr. and Marvels is not new.
