Serena Williams recently shared that a heckler during the final of the 2010 Australian Open motivated her to victory. The American defeated Justine Henin in the final with a 6–4, 3–6, 6–2 scoreline.

On Wednesday, ESPN released a teaser from episode 4 of Serena Williams’ docuseries “In the Arena: Serena Williams” on Instagram. The series details the key figures throughout her life and pivotal events in her career.In the video, Williams takes fans down memory lane, exploring her 2010 victory at the Australian Open. In the third set of the match, she was down by a game when a man from the crowd said she wasn’t a good player. This fired Williams up, and she went on to prove the heckler wrong.

“Australian Open 2010, I was in the third set I think I had lost the first game or whatever, and this guy was ‘like you can beat Serena she’s not all that good’, and when that guy yells at me, I am thinking to myself, first of all, seriously ‘I am not good, okay, we all know that not true, and I looked at the guy and I thought, okay, I am gonna show you what ‘good’ is.

“Nobody likes to be down and I think, I need someone to say something and then, it fires me up and I am like okay I am gonna prove you wrong, I kinda liked it,” Williams said
