The last matches of Andy Murray’s career: Paris Olympics will be the last Dance of the British champion before retirement. The Scot unfortunately will not be able to compete in singles, due to the physical problems that led him to the decision to retire, but he will try to win a medal in doubles in a pair with the countryman Daniel Evans.

In the last few hours, the 3-time Slam champion has published a nice post on his social media accounts, in the company of his friend and rival Novak Djokovic, with whom he has shared many battles, since they were kids.

“Rivals, doubles partners, friends and lovers…Thank you for 25 years of competition Novak Djokovic and good luck for the rest of your career,” he wrote.

In his response, the Serbian champion wanted to keep the same joking tone as the 37-year-old Scot: “Andy, I loved competing against you, playing doubles together, sharing good memories as friends. I’m going to give up being a lover. I hope you understand! What an amazing career. Legendary. Thank you A for inspiring all the players and so many people around the world.”

If for Murray these are the last matches on a tennis court, it’s a different story for his peer who has no intention of talking about retirement. Despite having had some setbacks in 2024, Nole still has his goals clear, and among them are the Paris Olympics. After a soft first round against Matthew Ebden, Djokovic beat his long-time rival Rafael Nadal in straight sets, qualifying for the 3rd round of the Paris Olympics, where he will challenge the German ATP No.70 Dominik Koepfer.
