The second round of the 2024 Canadian Open will feature an all-Ukrainian encounter when 2017 champion Elina Svitolina will go toe to toe against 11th-seeded Marta Kostyuk. The last event that Svitolina played was at the Paris Olympics, where she lost against Barbora Krejcikova in the round of 16.
