Lewis Hamilton hypes Keely Hodgkinson’s Olympic Gold in 800 meters

 

 

Lewis Hamilton recently congratulated British runner Keely Hodgkinson for winning her first gold medal in the Women’s 800m event at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games. Hodgkinson clinched Great Britain’s first gold medal in athletics and 12th gold medal in this year’s Games.

The women’s 800m final took place on August 5, with Hodgkinson being the only British representing her country in the race. The Mercedes driver reposted a picture of the British runner winning the gold medal on his Instagram stories. He added the gold medal and United Kingdom’s flag emojis to the story and showed support for his compatriot.

Prior to this, Lewis Hamilton was also seen attending the bronze medal fencing match at the 2024 Paris Olympic Games on Sunday, August 4.

With F1 on a pause for the summer break, several F1 drivers and members, including Lewis Hamilton, recently attended the 2024 Paris Olympics. The seven-time world champion posted pictures of him attending a bronze medal fencing match between France and the United States. He attended the match to support his good friend and popular American fencer, Miles Chamley-Watson.

France eventually won the match and Hamilton was also seen consoling Chamley-Watson after the match. Following this, the Mercedes star posted several pictures of himself with other celebrities like Hollywood star Nina Dobrev and American rapper Snoop Dogg. He also captured moments of the fencing match.In the post, he wrote about experiencing the energy and dedication at the Olympics. He also consoled Miles Chamley-Watson and wrote words of encouragement for the American fencer following USA’s 32-45 defeat to France.

Chamley Watson, replying to Hamilton’s post, thanked the seven-time F1 world champion for his kind words and wrote,

“Love you brother. Meant that world to have you there. Thanks for picking my head up and supporting me,” Chamley-Watson replied.
