There are few who haven’t heard about Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian’s intense love for Marvel. From sharing their admiration for the superhero Black Panther to enjoying Marvel movies together, Williams and Ohanian have set couple goals for many. While people expected them to continue the tradition, a dose of excessive violence led Williams to take a different approach. Helpless, Ohanian, forced by his wife’s decision, shared his thoughts after watching the movie.

Ohanian, active on social media, tweeted about his experience watching the latest Hollywood release, Deadpool & Wolverine. Mentioning how his famous wife, Serena Williams, decided to skip the movie due to its sheer violence, Ohanian wrote, “I had to go and see it (too violent for the Mrs.) by myself because I was tired of being so nervous online. That one epic cameo was the only one I knew about going in.”
Ohanian also took a moment to congratulate the film’s extraordinarily skilled cast for delivering a movie that met fans’ expectations. “Finally saw #DeadpoolAndWolverine this weekend and it was everything I hoped it’d would be be and MORE. Great work, @VancityReynolds Hugh Jackman + @ShawnLevyDirect— thank you!” tweeted the Reddit co-founder.

If you’re a fan of Alexis Ohanian, then you know about his intense love for Marvel. Even Ohanian’s life partner seems to have a soft spot for the franchise. In 2021, Marvel released its first Asian-American superhero character, Shang-Chi, portrayed by Canadian actor Simu Liu. After gaining popularity with his character, Liu used his platform to amplify the voices of his community. He wrote and published a book titled We Were Dreamers. The Reddit co-founder’s tweet showcases his love for superhero movies, especially Marvel characters. When a Marvel actor had a near-fatal accident last year, Ohanian didn’t hesitate to send his well wishes.
Alexis Ohanian wished Marvel’s Hawkeye a speedy recovery
Last year, Jeremy Renner, who plays Marvel’s Hawkeye, had a near-fatal accident. After a snowplow ran over him on New Year’s Day, Renner was left with thirty fractures. While the actor tweeted on social media thanking fans for their prayers, Ohanian also tweeted wishing Renner a speedy recovery. “Keep healing and fighting,” he wrote.

Not only that but Williams and Ohanian also congratulated Marvel on Black Panther 2: Wakanda Forever. This famous couple has left no stone unturned in showcasing their love for the Marvel franchise.
Alexis Ohanian’s positive review of Deadpool & Wolverine makes the movie quite tempting for the audience. After his endorsement, it seems likely the film will draw even more viewers, leading to a huge success at the box office.
