“Would be hard to tell who’s who out there” – Megan Khang and Lexi Thompson reflect on accidentally matching outfits at the FM Championship
Megan Khang and Lexi Thompson are playing at the FM Championship this week. After Saturday’s round, both the golfers have the same score of 4-under. But besides matching the same score on the leaderboard, they matched in another way.
In the third round, both wore similar pink T-shirts. Later, after Saturday’s round, when they joined a press conference, Thompson and Khang explained how it wasn’t planned:
“Funny enough, we did not plan it. We are matching. I jokingly said it’s a good thing I wore black shorts or it would be tough to tell who is who out there,” Khang said ( via ASAP Sports).
“The matching wasn’t planned. That’s for sure. She saw me on the putting green and she was like, ‘really?’ Yeah, we had a great time out there. The fans were incredible. You know, her being from here or living here, she definitely had the hometown crowd behind her cheering her on,” Thompson said.

Thompson also spoke about Khang and her having a good relationship.
“Of course that means a lot. Megan and I have grown a really close relationship, especially through the Solheim Cups. Golf is such an individual sport, but us coming together that week we built a friendship,” Thompson said.
On Sunday, the two golfers will play the final round of the FM Championship.

Both Lexi Thompson and Megan Khang are tied for 13th on the leaderboard. The current leader is Jin Young Ko, while Lauren Coughlin is in second with 9-under.
