Serena Williams’ denim skirt look has been trending among tennis fans. ESPN reported that she had earlier recreated a look similar to the outfit she sported in New York in 2004 while competing. The tennis player-turned-businesswoman took to Instagram to share a carousel of photos of herself standing in front of a poster of the old look. She flaunted a denim skirt and paired it with a white crop top and a denim jacket. Williams wrote, “This skirt looks familiar,” and humorously continued, “Oh that’s me in the background.” The tennis icon further shared that the 2004 outfit was the inspiration behind the look to launch Wyn Beauty’s new lipgloss and lip liner.
Expectedly, fans took to the comments to gush about Williams and her return to the sporting event. A user wrote, “Oh Serena the ICON that you are!” Another comment echoed several fans’ emotions, “Feels good to see you on US Open grounds, even just in the crowd.” Meanwhile, some begged her to “come back to play” as they shared that they missed her on the court.
In another post, Williams shared more photos from the day. She thanked all the “amazing ladies” who attended the launch. Video creator Hailey Sani even took the opportunity to share a reel with the tennis icon on Instagram. In the clip, the creator applied the Wyn Beauty products along with Williams. The two were all smiles as they recreated a popular TikTok meme. The reel has garnered a million views at the time of writing.
